There's one for me!

Unfortunately, this merit badge keeps me out of town during the week. A ride should come to Ellensburg sometime.

Oh, dibs! Bonus: I actually have that one. It was the Family Life one I never got that fucked me over from Eagle. That and marijuana. It's pretty 50/50 between those two things.

cycling has always been one of the choices of three "sporty" merit badges you need for eagle: cycling, hiking, or swimming.

From memory:
A scout is:
1) trustworthy
2) loyal
3) helpful
4) friendly
5) courteous
6) kind
7) obedient
8) cheerful
9) thrifty
10) brave
11) clean
12) reverent

I think a few of you have some of these to work on, like 11, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9. 12, like clothing, is optional.
Someone want to add this to the TOS? my lusername does not work.

Do they make a blowjob merit badge?

I could probably just rock one that has boobs on it.

Or a whiskey badge!

I could make whiskey badges for the whiskey disaster club!

For special merit badged outside the typical purview of the Boy Scouts, I suggest that you make your own:

http://www.ehow.com/how_4813291_embroidered-badge.html

Or maybe someone in p83 with more money than I can order some, but I bet that's damn expensive.

I think sales of the actual Boy Scout merit badges is tightly regulated as well. I base this statement on my childhood memories of needing to bring a bunch of signed blue cards into the store before the ancient man behind the counter would get off his HAM radio and sell me the badges. So take that for what it's worth.

that was my understanding too, but a dude in my grad school program managed to purchase a bunch of these and sell them to our classmates as a fundraiser.

That's a "Position of Responsibility" patch though, and I don't remember having to get "permission" to buy those.

Incidentally, I served as both

and believe it or fucking not, as

The responsibilities of the latter consisted solely of deciding who had to give the prayer before we ate. I usually went for someone I could count on to delay dinner as little as possible, a la "Dear god: thanks. Bless this food. Please. Amen."
