Oh and Fred, did you make it back OK? (the Fred who had the flat right before we left the park.) About half way down that long hill on Int'l Blvd I stopped to wait for you ... or what I thought was you, way back there.
Waited and waited for a long while, but then started wondered if you were in fact with the group ahead of me, so kept doing down hill.... at bottom of hill, didn't find anyone, but I was ready to go home anyway, so jumped on the Duwamish trail there.
Oh thanks ethan for waiting. i didn't want to hold up the group any longer so i quietly pulled over and patched my tube. i some how got two flats and broke a valve stem. but i made it home, i was a little worried i would get lost but no

I just bought a pair of dish towels at Bartell's to use to shower with (showers in our building thank god) so I'm "presentable" for coworkers.
thank you Nick for the mental image of you drying yourself with dish towels in the office shower. CREEPY
the cinematic moment when the "No Trespassing" gate, surrounding the eerie wastewater treatment plant with its flaming pipe, suddenly began sliding shut and the last couple people had to run to slip through is one of my favorite .83 experiences yet.
thanks Ben for the route and Joby for characteristic generosity. summer!

When that gate started opening, I was just astonished — is this real? is someone in .83 a wizard of space and time / wastewater treatment facilities? How did they know the code? Why did they dash off before everyone got through?
