im looking at prices on getting 200 point83 water bottles printed up and shipped out.
something 24 ounces or so like this:
if i get 200 of them, would you want several? probably about 2 bucks each to cover costs + shipping. interested? i don't want to have 150 of these on hand if no one wants them.
probably go with black lid and black bottle, with white printing. that should be neutral enough of a color scheme for everyones bike yeah?

yes. I'll take two and give you $5 to help cover cost.

lee, they get less expensive the more i buy. i'm fronting the cash risk, and at 2 bucks a pop, im guessing they are cheap enough that people will want them
i'll go for it and get these ordered

Why not wait till next years FHR and include them in the price since you have over 100 riders. Plus people get a momento.

lemme just chime in and say that clear waterbottles are way better than opaque ones, helps prevent that eeeew moment.
of course, if you ordered them already, then I can throw down a few bux.

thats a good idea. i'll probably do a run of generic point83 ones, then maybe a special FHR run in feb for the race

The planning committee is still debating nipple shape, but I'd be down for a couple of these.

they'd go great with my .83 wool jersy! oh wait.
meh, i guess i'll take a few.
opt for the good kind, not like the janky dbdh hard plastic variety.

And hey! Whatever happened to our .83 rock that was going to be at the Colonnade bike park? I seem to remember giving Malora Ann (or maybe it was Derrick) 20 bucks for it years and years ago.

Rock is there. Last time I visited it my kid found a $10 bill. These facts are probably unrelated.

been there for years, and we've taken the ride by to gawk at it a couple of times even.

rock was paid for by someone else, not me (joby?). can't remember.
yeah ben, im trying to get the nicer type of bottle, and 24-28oz size, so a bit larger than Dead Baby bottles. putting in an order today or tomorrow, so in a few weeks they'll be here.

I've gotten water bottles as conference swag where the printing would just scrape off with your fingernail. do they do samples?

I remember when the plastic coating inside my Sigg bottle unpeeled itself and started coming out when I drank. Good times!

Professor Dave, can we get a little action on the over/under here?
Someone should set up a water bottle default swap. I'll give it a AAA-rating and we can trade it on the derivatives market, along with Wreyford crash futures.

derrick, can we get laser-etched stainless steel .83 bottles? i really want something that reflects the timelessness of this club and also easily rinses out the stale beer/port taste from thursday nights.

yeah, stainless is a possibility. but the price for these is lots higher. a run of 15 of them (shipping + print set up, etc) works out to about 9 bucks a piece.
i can definitely set that up, let me get these standard plastic ones set up first then i can guage interest in metal ones on another run

roger. i'll make another thread soon about steel ones to guage exact numbers on those. i want to make sure i don't get stuck with a pile of them since they are pricier.
for a couple bucks a pop on the plastic ones im not too worried about getting my money back

regardless of material, i'm interested in a couple of bottles. that said, i'm more stoked on steel - honestly, $9 seems like a good deal to me, given that a sigg bottle is closer to $15 or $20.

I commit to buy $20 worth of steel bottles, assuming they fit in a bottle cage.

yes i know you'll start another thread, but figured i'd voice my disinterest in plastic (read: won't buy any). have too many already.
i'd definitely go for a steel one. don't have one that fits in a cage, and $9 is a damn good price.
