Your wrecks to miles ratio sucks shit. You're either riding EXPONENTIALLY more than everyone else in this club, or you're a bad cyclist, a bad drunk, or both.
I love you, but you should change your sig and just own it. Or figure out a way to avoid back to back to back epic tragic wrecks. Nobody's been wrecked more by cars in the past 24 months. Nobody's gone through more bikes in the past 24 months in one fashion or another (wreck, wreck, wreck, theft, theft, wreck). Nobody's been in the clinic as much as you for one reason or another without being treated for fucking CANCER.
Driver doesn't have insurance? You don't say. More epic tragedy for Senior!
Peter cry wolf what?

Um, I've been in two (2) bike wrecks that required a visit to the hospital; 2 Utah. I've been actually hit by a car 3 times, and once caused to wreck by a car, and once by another cyclist (a pedicab). Not too bad in the nearly 4 years I've been in Seattle. Bikes get stolen, that just happens. I've had 3 bikes stolen, one of which was recovered. I've had 2 bikes that were fucked up from wrecks with cars, wrecks where the driver was clearly at fault. So yeah, I'm just a bad fucking cyclist.

You're copping to 5 wrecks and 5 bikes in 4 years - funny thing is, between Chase, Justin and myself we have a number that exceeds that by several.
Here's the point man - we worry about you. It's not just me. You're in a disproportionately high number of bike wrecks - either hospitalized or not - and you damage or have stolen a disproportionate number of bikes - and somehow you've got it into your head that this is an okay number. It's not. You're WAY over par. So either the world has it out for Ryan Wreyford, or maybe you can do more to ensure your own survival in this arena. Unless you like going through a bike every 7 to 9 months on average, and end up in a bike related incident once every 6. News flash, many people own the same bike for years. Lots of them never go to the hosptial. I've never been for example.
Believe me when I tell you we would all like to see you not getting banged up dude - and I think you can do something about it.
Okay, back to the horsecock.

a great read (formerly titled "the art of urban cycling")
some reviewer wrote:
It's packed with suggestions, tips and methods of cycling in urban and suburban environments that are meant to keep you safe and secure in the insanity of traffic you face daily.

Hate to say it dude, but Scott (and Kevin) kind of has (haves) a point. You might need to be riding more defensively.
Don't want to hurt your feelings, but it's better than seeing you actually hurt again. I'm buying you a copy of that book; I'll have it sent to Talia.

The book has been purchased, and will arrive in 3-5 business days. I hope you know it is bought out of genuine care and not admonishment. Talia has agreed to bring it to you.
Also, I am backing up Scott, for full transparency. I've got that guy's back, just as I have yours, and hope (know) that the two of you have mine. Honesty = best policy.
I'm also very happy that I will return to Seattle before you leave it. I love you like a cousin, dude.
