I just rode a quick (like, squid-quick) 60 miles with my dad's bike club in Baton Rouge today. It was my first time on a bike in almost 2 months. No karaoke. No fire. No regrets. I missed the shit out of you.
Also, Scott emailed me about the Wreyford funeral. It took some research to discover that the sisters are not dead. Thanks, Scott. You scared the crap out of me. Glad you're not (yet) dead, fellas... any of you.
Love,
Leah

Or plaster. Or metal pins. Or legal fees. Or insurance claims. Or some combination therein. I have videos of the night in question, but I need to put a soundtrack on them before posting; All you hear is Kyleen screaming endlessly in all of them. Being metal or somesuch.
I have three videos spaced about an hour apart. All of them. Kyleen screaming. Yeah.

I am not as old as Ryan or Scott, held together with titanium, and in SF right now. The burritos here are really good.

I am in Beijing. Lots and lots of people ride bikes. Old, beat up bikes. but they all have these janky battery retrofit kits installed, so nobody pedals; They just rest their feet on the down tube.
This makes me think of Derrick.

You know, if they're cheap enough, U-locks COULD be ranged weapons.

Shit! I also need about 50 of these fuck yeah shovels
The bunch of degenerates I used to camp with when I lived in Colorado had these entrenching tools the way .83 has folding triangle saws — though I think only a couple were actually german surplus, each was named for a Nazi war criminal.
It doesn't seem like we camp that many places where we need to dig holes to shit or sleep in, and we're fucking surrounded by trees, just waiting to be burned. I say the next FY tools are axes and wire saws.

Oh, hai guyz!
Joby told me I should add to this thread.
So here it goes: I miss you braindead degenerates. And I'll almost certainly be home in less than a year.
Also, I walked a couple miles with a papasan chair lashed to my back a few weeks ago. Photos on my flickr
I'm bringing a FY shovel for you for Suiattle henry. It says Gerber, but it was probably made in China.

Damn it, I watched the whole video.
Sorry Henry, my Gerber camp shovel is going to disappoint. I don't think the edge of the blade is sharp enough to cut off ones fingers, let along cut through copper pipe.

I'd also like to use it to paddle my rubber raft when i'm rescuing a clumsy compatriot (how often would this come in handy!??!).
Every Thursday is "Cougar Night" at the Big Whiskey Saloon in Tacoma. Just so ya know.

Nothing about using it to harvest organs of Falun Gong members makes me think their marketing team was really phoning that video in.

Yes! I invited her to the dance party. She said she had a sprained ankle.
I tried to get Eric to pick her up on his crazy sportbike, but somehow that didn't happen.
