I'm new to the area and looking for a bike, or parts to get me on the way to a bike. I donated mine just before the move, because I couldn't bring it with me. I'm keeping an eye out for anything, but just figured I'd say hello.

touche .... A 56 would probably be the best, also road/commuter. I am looking for something relatively cheap, probably nothing more than 250. I'm also not looking for anything fancy, but I guess that's obvious from the price. I'm hunting the list of craig in the meantime. Haze all you'd like. I just enjoy my bicycles.

Consider Bike Works. Especially if you're handy around bikes and can dismantle/repair/re-assemble them to your liking. Bikeworks has tons of parts and a bunch of complete bikes in need of some love. Not much modern stuff there, but good foundations for a build.
They have bikes donated to them, then check them out/repair/resell them. Call before you visit and make sure someone will be there that can show you the warehouse with bikes that they haven't fixed up yet (cheaper but need work). Take a tape measure and pick out something that works for you, fix it up yourself.
Again, make sure and call before to be sure they have enough staff to show you the warehouse area, and that you'll have access to the parts bins, which are in the back and sometimes not available because they're teaching a class.

Everett isn't bad. Its much better compared to Florida, by any means. I know its not Seattle but it's not far. Its a good change of life, that I needed badly.
Bike Works sounds like my kind of place. I was looking at Co-op's too because I like working with my hands, and its a good cause. Thanks for the help, and I will say there wasn't as much hazing as I assumed there would be from browsing through the forums, haha.

As an Everett/Mukilteo kid, I'll tell you that you could have done worse. Tacoma! Puyallup! Shoreline! All are similarlly blue collar and much shittier to cyclists than the Ev-rot. There is a Co-op downtown and a couple decent bike shops around the area for your repair needs. I'd stick with BikeWorks for your build out, but when you have a flat or need a repair you're not totally hosed.
Come ride with us soon!

it is, for what it is. I scored a newish pair of handelbars for my dad's bike, and they sell tubes & what not.
I prefer Tim's if I have an issue nearby, and that's where I went as a kid.

It comes with the sarcastic attitude. People look at me like I'm an asshole all the time. It's all good, and rape is bad, apparently no means no...
