I just moved to Seattle, hmm, 2 weeks ago now? Big shift in lifestyle, I have given up the bubble life of owning a car in suburbia. I've been riding all over since I got here and I LOVE it! Can almost ride up pine street w/o stopping... hahaha. Maybe another few weeks before i can do it w/o wanting to die.
I heard about your group from a dude named chris at REI, would love to meet you guys and get to know west coast microbrews. I tried to find westlake center yesterday, definitely rode all up and down by the marinas and didn't see anything - this was around 7:10? Where is this mysterious "westlake center?" google says it's 1900 Westlake ave. Is it the mall area? westlake park? I work at amazon, you guys meet up close by, right?

Even money says this is henry.
But just in case:
Westlake square is the open park area across from westlake center. It has bus stop, some trees, and usually some bums.
It's bounded by Pine, Pike, 4th ave, and an Alley.
There will definitely be a bunch of cyclists there at 7:15 on any Thursday.

yeah, it's not exactly clear if you're new in town and all you have is google maps. i just sort of wandered around in the vicinity until i saw a bunch of bike jerks. turns out we meet on this plaza at 4th and Pine.
the tuesday ride meets at Red Square on the UW campus.

I have a 6am alarm clock too, but still get out for a Thursday ride about twice a month and manage to make it home by 11.

Really sherlock? thanks! Oh, now i understand why i pointed out that v-im was an alternative text editor. Can't think of why i would've done that....

I'm over my personal limit of retarded posts on the same thread, but since I'm always open to the possibility that I'm actually the confused and foolish one - i'm just curious:
My reconstruction of this trainwreck is,
1) elks is confused by a word filter on this forum "v-im -> word"
2) I try to give them a clue by pointing out that there's some text-editor rivalry/mockery going on.
3) Scott tells me something I already know and tried to point out.
4) I tell scott that I already knew.
5) Scott still thinks I'm an idiot.
6) blue steel.
Where have I gone wrong?

Where you have gone wrong in that thread:
attempting to use rational discourse with scott gamble.
The surgeon general recommends against it.
On the contrary, I frequently find it refreshing in the extreme!
