More interested in durability than fancy visuals.

125 if the color is in stock, 175 for a custom color for frame and fork at Seattle powder coat. Turnaround is normally less than a week. Pricing includes removing the old finish, but it can go up if the original coating is hard to remove (chrome or good powder)

I've used then for two frames and about 10 racks with good results. I go with a list of colors in mind in case they are out of stock on what I'd want.

$100 for a single coat color frame & fork. No extra charge for most special order colors. Not as fancy as Seattle Powdercoat, but cheaper and just as durable. I share a shop space with him in Georgetown.

spray paint is a terrible solution for bikes. doesn't last, chips and cracks off easy. might look ok from 5 feet away the day you do it, but any length of heavy use and it will look like hell.

Fuck yeah Colin, that's a better solution.

I kept this thread in mind because of a project I want to do. Deluxe sounded just like the type of place that would take care of a project with passion. Unfortunately it appears I am too late.

Any other suggestions before I try:

Since this thread I've taken another bike to SPC, and they'll keep getting them. They do a good job, the price is decent, the support is good, and they are all around good guys.

I've had cheaper powder coats, but I haven't had cheaper and better powder coats.

Seconded. Responsible Jon's was convenient for me since it was in my building, but now that he's gone, Seattle Powder Coat is the place to go.

Yep, good experiences with them. Less than one week turnover on my frame and a couple of courtesy calls to let me about this/that.

Seems as though Deluxe Powder Coating is no more.
