i have to say escaping down the path that police cars couldn't follow was the highlight of my evening. i heartily laughed about it to myself as i walked over phinney ridge towards ballard.

they showed up as we were leaving, in a pretty well choreographed snare. Too bad for them they didn't block off the trail, so we rode away laughing. I kicked apart the fire so it didn't burn down the shelter, and as I left one of hte cops got a little snarky "you just going to leave that fire and all this mess?"

if i wasn't tossed and didn't have a level 8 staff taped to my hand i probably would have hung back and talked to the police. but no, i ran, i think i was the last up the trail.

robin stuck around and cleaned up, dealt with the aftermath. thanks robin.

Yeah, I actually felt bad about leaving things in the state we did. I'm glad someone was braver than me. Thanks, Robin!

it was brilliant riding through ravenna park at around 9pm and finding all of you simply by following the sounds of shrieks, screams, and music. even better to be greeted by fred holding out a can of rainier and telling me that i am way behind. better yet: dancing, jousting, getting carried around with a mission to slap all of your asses, chicken fights, fleeing from the cops, and then whatever happened at monkey pub that got me so drunk. like whoa.

also, i can't stop giggling at what i'm seeing on my camera.

whoaoh! that was super fun, thanks for coming out last night! I smell heavily of beer. Grimy.

highlight of the night - sketchy almost getting decapitated by that tree with the traffic cone on his head.

you are all making me so bummed that I missed this! although on the positive side I suppose I could focus on the splitting headache that I do not currently have. AAAAND the AWESOME drunken voicemail I got from a certain seventh-level wizard last night, which I will soon find a way to post here in its entirety.

well played, wizards.

Wilson, Deven [10:47 AM]:
so 5 popos showed up? i was on my way out as the 1st one pulled up

Langston, Christopher [10:48 AM]:
yeah, pretty heavy snare, but they wern't moving terribly fast. I had time to kick the fire and pick up a few beer cans, and wasn't even the last out

Wilson, Deven [10:48 AM]:
did they come up from the backside too?
i mean was there even a place for 5 cars?

Langston, Christopher [10:49 AM]:
one from the east, two in the parking lot, and uhh.. one more up the street where the 17th Ave bridge is. I don't think they were expecting bicycles, or a escape-motivated group

Wilson, Deven [10:50 AM]:
hahahaa
that's gold
i laughed about it last night, but its funnier hearing that

Langston, Christopher [10:51 AM]:
they had body language of "oh shit, where are they all going? That wasn't the plan"

Wilson, Deven [10:51 AM]:
hahahaha
what a caper

Langston, Christopher [10:51 AM]:
indeed. sounds like Robin hung back and played good-cop

Wilson, Deven [10:51 AM]:
yeah i jsut asked him what they said to him
"thanks for cleaning up"
wth happended to tictoc scott's eye?

Langston, Christopher [10:52 AM]:
wizard wand sword fight, opened up his eyebrow pretty good.
we duct taped it closed with pink tape

Wilson, Deven [10:52 AM]:
lol

My "prestige class" of level 4 wino worked out really well! I now feel bad about bolting and not cleaning the park up, but I was cackling the whole time as we were riding away. If they had just sent one squad car and asked us to leave, we could have, but hooray for intelligent use of taxpayer resources, amirite?

I didn't have a drop at the Monkey but I still feel like there are a few 'scene missing' moments there. Oh wait! I literally just now remember walking around the corner and chugging a PBR on the sidewalk with the new girl. So I lied. I will now go smack myself for this transgression.

Also, my mouth tasted like three-day-dead hobo ass this morning. All in all? Good ride.

Jesus, I was trying to take it easy last night. So much for that.

I slept through my hangover. Unemployment does have it's perks.

Thanks all. That's totally what I needed. And running from cops on bikes through the woods - totally ruled. I feel like that was on par with the night we rode the express lanes after the fry eat.

Only one of my gloves reeks of beer.

The other reeks of cigarettes.

Yes. Old Chub level up!

Thanks for the pics Darryl

Though an excellent motocross driver. I recall basically falling over while just standing there, not even riding anywhere.

I wish I could have had some sort of recorder for my thoughts that night, went from something like "oh look a police car" to "holy shit it's and ambush, run for the hills!!!1!" in about 30 seconds as we were all riding away laughing into the night.

I was felled by it in that very same location when we did capture the flag limeys vs. murkins

Don't drink five of those in an hour, even if they do taste lighter than rainier — Deven will have to pour you into a taxi as you pass out (and not the wifey variety that is his way)

We need to do this again, if only so we can stop by The Grizzled Wizard.
