The Tuesday ride's enemies list just keeps expanding. This week: Old Man Winter.
If you've been paying attention, you know that snow, snowpocalypses, snowmageddons, and Jim Foreman sitting next to a truck at Snoqualmie Pass waiting to pounce on an errant snowflake are coming, possibly as soon as this weekend (actually, Foreman has probably been parked at the Pass for the last week). Which means tonight could be the last ride before it all goes to hell and you can't ride one block without being in danger of a concussion from a collision with a hipster riding a cafeteria tray down an icy street.
I propose we prepare for these dark days with a 6-bar shuffle. Everyone come ready with the name of a fine establishment ridiculously close to Red Square, suitable for holing up in and drinking hot buttered rum while the blizzard roars outside. I'm talking stupidly close places, within a 5-10 minute ride, like the Ram in UVillage, or Dante's, or Kate's. We'll check each one out, down a drink, then head to the next one.
To get a head start, I plan to get a drink at Kai's at 6pm, then head up to A Pizza Mart (5026 University Way) for happy hour (it's supposed to be good, really!).
As always, Red Square at 7pm, ride at 7:30.

A Pizza Mart, red square, ravenna ale house, north lake tavern, pies & pints, the reservoir...suck it miles vs. drinks ratio !

Very nice ride but WTF? 10 beers later and a proper ass kicking at shuffle board at the reservoir tavern...
