Before our weekend weather apocalypse sets in, its going to be a great night to go for a longer ride with something warm to drink at the end. Any thoughts on a location with good hot & boozey drinks, or at least high-quality hot chocolate?
Prefunk- the Husky Football game starts at 5 so I'm going to be somewhere centrally located with ESPN on the toob. suggestions?

Ride suggestion: Sully's Snowgoose followed by a firepit somewhere. Maybe Laurelhurst.

Sounds like a good starter plan. Someone should bring accelerant.
It's not the amount off accelerant you have but it is about how you use the 21% Oxygen you do have.

Good lord.
I have to prefunk in Ballard (library and preordered fabric pick-ups) but would love to meet up if you head north to Sully's. Keep the foursquare check-ins coming.

sorry, you can only buy those in bulk. You have to mix them yourself. Bonus: Washington state ain't never gonna ban coffee, whisky, juice, and vodka.

The 2-speed hub on my klunker had only a few axle threads engaged on each side because the washer on the track nuts took up too much space, and climbing up the hill into laurelhurst the drive-side one gave way and stretched the threads.
I managed to ride it home without a DS nut as a dandy horse, it was a lot easier once I slammed the saddle down. Only took me like an hour to go 5 miles.
I managed to fix up the threads and replace it with a plain nut once I got home, I was worried that I would have to machine the special vintage axle down to a smaller threading.

Cass and I are a problem power team. Highlights:
Ballpit! Bourbon! Cass falls over and giggles in the grass. Where were we?! Some kind of garden place. Wander around to find firepit. Firepit! Rogelio falls over, Lee falls over, Soo mudddy! CIP happens. Whoa! I have to bust into construction yard top get my headlight. Missing a chunk out of my thumb, has anyone seen it?! Cass and I make our escape. Guy compliments RB-1. "thanks" as i drop the bike on the ground, oops. Cass: "It's ok, you have white bartape!" Logic win! ride home, somehow.
Bourbon is decimated. Poor little bottle needs a refill.

Ha, hah. Just kidding, though.
It was a great route, and I thoroughly enjoyed all the destinations.
My favorite part was when Lee fell over. To his credit, we were riding down a very muddy hilly covered in leaves, and I almost ate shit a couple of times also. But I saw him go down, in a tangle of giant bearded man and bicycle, followed by hearing several hearty guffaws issuing forth from said tangle.
Oh, and I also learned that flowers of any kind render women incapable of detecting how late/drunk you are.
