Best part of the route was when I shouted grumpy-old-man style from my porch at a passing band of ingrates.

Everyone keeps talking about what a great route it was, but nobody's posting maps.

it wasn't any groundbreaking route. just fun. north end back and forth

-westlake to dexter. some went down to fremont to pick up lee, others went over 99 to sullys. we all met on phinney at sully's.
-sullys through woodland park trails muddy grass and bridges to 50th and stone. watched noob jump fences over aurora.
-split off of some to ball party at cass/kyleens. others rode around the lake down ravenna, and through ravenna park trails. pit stop at uvillage for wood. -laurelhurst firepit. ball party breakaways refind us
-down the burke to college inn to close out the night

I got drunk enough to fall in the fire, and woke up today wildly sick and hungover. Last night was great fun, today not so much.

littlejar from Drunk Cyclist has a nice little writeup on the evening's shenanigans.

It is a shame that it took so long to find it, but this group, the Point 83, IS THE DRUNK CYCLIST CREW in Seattle. Make no mistake. I hadn’t felt this way about a biking group in years. No snobs. Plenty of bike geekery on display. One of the guys said magnanimously, as we rode together, what they are about:

“We get drunk, ride around, and cock block cars.” Hell fucking yeah.

A flame war erupts in the comments. Classic.

and that's why i only run two kinds of sites.

the kind where threads are expected to be horrible and moderators are expected to be some of the biggest assholes in those threads, and the kind without comments.
