Votes to the poll should be submitted to you via e-mail. The forum voting software can be gamed (sockpuppets, etc.). See Derrick's previousthreads on the matter.

polls can be jimmied by at least 4 of us with database access. not safe. i'd suggest you keeping a spreadsheet or notepad, and tally the results with a digital paper trail that you can post later. have people contact you.
