Just so I'm clear... your plan was to show up and sell safety cookies to drunkards operating moving vehicles to raise money for a drug and alcohol counselor?
Thanks for coming up to a destination I could get to! I had an absolute blast hanging out with you guys. Dan (owner of Darrell's) loved having you guys there and was super stoked.
Soyoung I hope your not too banged up today. Fred & Rogelio sorry about the bike injuries.

What could possibly go wrong? <facepalm>
So,.... got a lotta cookies.
...for the record it wasn't really as much a plan as an idea that sorta happened. That idea was lost when I ate a whole cookie.

once again, stayed out far later than was wise and had a thrilling time.
i second the totally boring ride north. next time i'd really like to see more hills, trails, gravel, dead ends, transportation centers, singletracks, bent rims, big ditches, whisky sours, black cats, girls in bikinis, sprinklers and butches, please. and bridges trimmed in neon. i really feel like those were lacking on this ride.
other than that, awesome night!

it's a fair statement - he rides the whole thing on that POS bike of his with nary a complaint. If we had to do what he has to do to ride with us, I don't think many of us would ride .83.

Paul hauled Nick and me back to downtown because we're too good for the bus.

Way underestimated my speed going over a curb and murdered my rear rim. The flat I got was only because a brake pad was hitting the tire sidewall where it was furthest out of true right at the hit, it blew out in less than 10 wheel revolutions. The DS spoke at the impact is loose by a few mm even after bottoming out the nipple, and the adjoining ones are beginning to pull through the rim with ripples visible.
It was ridable after fixing the flat and releasing the brake with the spring tension cranked up, just really annoying with the hop in it. Still rode it 18 more miles that night, and another 16 this weekend. Had to gingerly spin up climbs so the spokes would STFU.
Thankfully I have two spare rims and a spare Racing Ralph, the joy of hoarding.

hmm, maybe 355 grams is too light for a rim, even for fred?

Something's too light for Fred? I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around that concept.
