Sweet! I've been seriously considering doing some volunteer WTA trail building lately. Has anyone ever done this?

I haven't helped with WTA trailbuilding, but I used to get involved in BBTC (aka Evergreen MTB) trailbuilding. I should do some more.

We should get a crew together for a two day dig/camp. I'll look into it.

I can't make the F'n MTB ride today but anyone interested in doing this tomorrow morning?

I am going to check this out about 10 today. I will be on an old blue bike with an unruly brown dog somewhere close by.

Great ride close to the big city. I would do this again and certainly will add it to the loop of close to home bike rides:

For some reason, I find this area just a little weird. Certainly they are doing a good job but to me, it doesn't seem in the spirit of Mtb'ing. More, the kids who liked to spend their weekend building forts in the woods....Respect yes, care not really. Just my opinion.

Think of the shelter and the center of Duthie in the context of a classroom, not as a random structure in the woods. From that point of view I think that it does make sense. It is nice to be able to hang out there for a few minutes between laps on a rainy day. I could see that being even more useful when taking a class.
