So I just traded a really nice set of carbon FSA cranks to a friend for a compact double but the ones he gave me are pretty crappy (read: heavy with worn rings).

Does anyone have a decent compact double?

I've got some decent Deore DX compact cranks, but no rings. If you can source your own rings they're yours for a beer. I can check the specific model when I get home if you're interested.

definitely interested. I just got a new cassette so new rings might not be a bad idea anyway. Also waiting to hear back from this guy

Tom,

I've had my eye on these inexpensive FSA Vero Cranks.

110bcd was very common on mountain bikes in the 1980's before it got reintroduced as 'Road Compact' with 50-34t rings in the last 5 years or so.
So there is an abundance of 110 crank arms. The Vero is kind of a good deal since you get new rings though and the ineer is steel (good for when you are loaded arguably) and the big ring has shift ramps which is nice.

Joe, I just got those cranks last night. Traded a friend for (I think) these http://www.fullspeedahead.com/products/480/K-FORCE-LIGHT-BB30-Crankset

They are super heavy. If I don't use would you want them? The rings are pretty worn though.

I'm not in need of a set right now until my rings wear out, but thanks for the offer.

Sounds like your friend gave you the raw end of a deal though.
