Hey guys, I know a few of you have done this so I was looking for advice. I tried to search in the forum history but didn't turn up anything.

I will be joining some friends for the beginning of a SEA to SF ride this April. They seem to have the Astoria to SF route planned but were asking me about the Seattle to Astoria section. Seems like there are quite a few options but I am clueless.

Suggestions? Links to past forum entries? Thanks.

seattle -> olympia (search the forums)
olympia -> oakville -> brooklyn -> raymond (search the forums for brooklyn or raymond to find my exact route)
take 101 to astoria

oakville -> brooklyn is dirt, but nice riding and zero traffic

photos here cover the route from seattle -> naselle, but we turned back east towards portland instead of going over to astoria:

langston and i did that route a few years back. we mirrored the STP route pretty close, then at the longview bridge headed west. highway brings you right to astoria.

Awesome, thanks for the advice guys.

Also, just wanted to throw it out there if anyone wants to join us. We will likely take Alex's suggestion.

We leave on Friday April 20th from Seattle. I will part ways with the rest of the group around Astoria as they head down the coast and I head east towards Portland. I will be catching the Amtrak from Portland to Seattle around April 24th so I can get back to work on Wednesday the 25th.
