Random Joby disaster. Was it whiskey or vodka? Wound up at Meg/Colin boot knockin' bash. Left Megs, back 30 minutes later unable to 'find' where I locked up. Alec escorted me back to Ballard. Remember crashing into Fremont Bridge, don’t remember crashing on University bridge. Even the pictures are blurry from the night. Northface jacket and a little dignity died that night.

Issaquah. I led a group home around 1am, when just outside LSSP somebody curbed it and tacoed his wheel. I 'trued' it Denny-style by banging it on the pavement.
All this after pints at the white frog, whiskey at the park, and the treatment from the Professor. It was a long ride home.

2009's Running of the Bulls was totally last minute and it couldn't have worked out better, truly one of the best!
But everyone pulled though in 2010, too. Drinking red wine out of utters and swimming at the new SLU park was a hoot as well... and it led to one of the best .83 photos out there:

Favorite "moment" of a ride: Summer ride to a Mercer Island swimmin' hole couple years back. Long steep descent to a beautiful, grassy park/beach. Mercer island families all over the place. Sketchy is leading the charge, brakes are squealing, he's yelling, heads turning, families fleeing. He makes it through the park and onto the beach into deep sand. Endo! Faceplant! Shock, gasps, laughs... Then 30+ bikers roll into park. Yup .83 has arrived.

that was the first time I brought Sarah on a ride. One of my favorites, too.

Bulls ride 2009. At cowgirls inc, afterwards, having the operator of the mechanical bull tell me that Remi was 'perhaps too drunk to ride the bull.'
Also, this ride:

My first ride, where on the way home I accidentally rode off a loading dock at full speed.
Edit to add that Running of the bulls and Pizza Hut/Taco Bell are also way up there, and are the ones I tell people about when they ask about that bike club I ride with.

My favorite memory is really just a blend of routes I don't recognize, drinking outside at that one place, and the songs we did at Karaoke that one time.

Blake Island is currently occupying the #1 spot. Technically, it wasn't a "ride", per se. For all intensive porpoises, the point is moo, literally.

Definitely that Halloween ride, the glow stick roller skating ride, and Mercer Island with the Spaniard are my top three. Amongst many others.

Just for sheer shock value I kinda liked hiding giant nuggets of weed in the blue moon and then fighting punks on the ave.
Also, cookie monster, pooh, and santa with our hands on the cop car near FFP was pretty classic. Eggfights with topless women on that one too, huh?
hmm, and riding to poulsbo, with fireworks.

From the "don't rememberable" files, didn't one of the OG Carkeek rides feature Tangquerade and a succession of subsequent crashes? Was that also the Black Derrick ride? Carkeek always blurs together.

sounds about right. That might be the park I've been the drunkest in most often. That or the firepit.

one that just came back to me: the second freedom fry contest, riding the express lanes back to the U District at night, ben yelling hopelessly at everyone to turn off their lights, and finally the professor convincing the cops that it couldn't have been our group of cyclists that were doing anything that stupid.

I think my favorite point 83 ride was on a tuesday in November, 2008. It's been a rough patch since then, I had to move to the other side of the country, and these guys keep saying things about me which just aren't true. I can't wait until 2012 when we can ride again!
