Looks like you struck out at Recycled today. I donated all of mine a couple years back to RE-PC. You can pick them (and most other cords under the sun) up for $1 each.

do they have the upwards bend on the tops? I had some grand bois rando bars that I wasn't too terribly fond of due to the sloping tops, I guess I prefer flat tops... what's the width??

Okay, so I didn't find everything needed at the swap, let's see if any are available here/can be pointed towards.
- stem adapter, I have the clamp component, but current one is a quill and too small.
- 26" threadless disc road fork, current one is 1-1/8" threaded which I'm told is pretty odd and recycled didn't have anything that would work.
- long pull brake levers, current ones have taken quite a few crashes and should probably be replaced, likely opting to stick with flats rather than drops.

Salt: I have a 1-1/8" threaded headset if you want it for that fork. You can also put a 1" quill stem into a 1-1/8" threaded fork using a shim. You can also get a quill to threadless stem adapter if you want.
I also have flat bar long-pull brake levers that I'd happily sell.

I have a few stems that are for use with 1-1/8" threaded steerer forks.
For clarity the quill itself is 25.4mm (1") diameter.
Bikeworks will also have a ton of these. They are very common from a certain era of mountain bikes.
HOWEVER they will almost universally be 110mm+ in length, and 90° or taller in rise, and for 25.4mm bars. Often they do not have a removable faceplate, which makes using them with (25.4)drop bars tricky.
1-1/8" threaded fork with brake posts for a 26" wheel are likewise not uncommon. Again from a specific era of old mtbs. Yes you could swap it out. Finding a fork that has disc tabs but is also NOT suspension-corrected will be a bit tricky. Just keep your current fork.
As Alex said there are also options for using your current fork + adapter with a more modern stem, OR with a more typical quill stem meant for a 1" steerer fork. I have done this using a couple of different methods and they work fine.

@Alex: pm'ed
I haven't had time to browse forks at Bikeworks, was surprised Recycled didn't have anything. But as has been pointed out, disc tabs and not suspension-corrected is tricky.
To clarify, my current quill has a removable faceplace, but the bars are 31.8mm, thus the need to change. Also, I got a 120mm stem, just need to figure out how to get it onto the fork, thus moving away from a quill.
Regarding threaded to threadless adapters, most of the ones on Amazon appear to be 1" threaded to 1-1/8" threadless, but I need 1-1/8" threaded to 1-1/8" threadless, am I reading it wrong?
As for keeping the current fork, new bars will totally suffice for now, but I did pick up a 26" disc wheel at the swap and if I keep this frame long enough, it would be nice to run.
Thanks for all of the advice on this project!

The RB-1 is quite... aggressive.
Anyone have a Nitto Technomic or something similar to keep the vintage look but save my back?

seconded, it's a race bike. stretch, and keep riding. more legs = more support for torso = less back pain. don't derp your rb.
what stem/bars are on there now? does the bike fit you? if reach is the issue, just getting a technomic isn't really the answer. consider:

Saddle is all the way back, it is also ~6+" higher than the top of the bars.
Current reach is probably alright, but I'd consider going further #shortleglongarmworldproblems
It looks pretty stock, maybe even a bit shorter. I can take measurements in the near future, but the others who were riding with me Saturday were vocal about just how large a difference in height there was.

if your legs are shorts relative to the rest of your body and the saddle is way way up, this bike might be too small for you. is the stem raised up to the limit?

I used the stand-over test for measuring, but that is definitely possible.
As for the stem, I didn't realize it could be raised... doh. Will take a look at that next time I can stop by the shop.

You should not be legally allowed to own an RB-1.

You're not wrong... if I hadn't stumbled onto the deal of a lifetime (immediately before my b-day no less), I'd be rocking some sort of monster cross commuter instead of the frankenstein operation that is soon to occur.

Sure, but the advice to re-grease semi-regularly has probably not been followed for some time.

Dude should know that a fucking quill stem can be raised with a simple turn of a hex wrench. He should also have a thick enough skin to take a joke about it.
