Hey folx!

Anyone have a 36 hole 700c rim? Trying to help a wheel build, although I have limited skill/knowledge. As far as I know any serviceable rim that can fir 28's will suffice,

Thanks!

Looking for a 32 hole Shutter Precision or Schmidt dynohub. Silver or black, I don't care.

Thanks!

Greetings. My name is Jason. I work at night, haven’t been on a ride in around 4 years, probably a stranger to most of you…

Bike pictured below was totaled in a wreck last week due to frame and wheel damage. I got it free around six years ago, in mint condition, as it had been garaged most of its life. Over time, I replaced literally every part except the frame, fork, and headset.
I didn’t wanna wait around for the cops, for various reasons, so I took $400 bucks from the guy who hit me.

At this point, I’m looking for either:
• A loaner or rental ASAP, am willing to barter (I’m in the wine industry, so if you want great juice at wholesale, bulk juice cheap, or cult/ collectible stuff, I can get it…)
• A cheap (no more than $100) interim bike, fixie or whatever, to get me around while I take some time finding a replacement
• Something equivalent with fenders around $400-500 that can take the rack, seat, and possibly bars and brake levers (bars are smaller- 40cm, I’m pretty used to the fit…)
• Advice on upgrading- I’m willing to consider an $800-$1K purchase, if it’ll get me something gorgeous I can ride for ten years or so. Prefer steel with classic (not modern) geometry, clearance for fenders and bigger tires, braze-ons for attachments, etc.

Anyone want to weigh in? Please PM me.

FYI, I’m 5’9”, the wrecked bike is a 56cm.

Cheers

Ugh that sucks, sounds like you are OK though.

I'm moving soon and clearing out some stuff.

I have this bike sitting almost exactly like the picture, but the bars are now black and it has fatty street tires on it not knobbies.

Note the floating cog to make it SS. Works quite well actually. Fork was once kind of nice, has rebound and compression adjust and more importantly has a lockout so you can make it rigid.

$60 and it's yours. When you are done with it you can sell the LX + gold anno mavic rims wheelset alone for that easy.

If you are mechanically inclined I also have various components if you want to turn it into a geared bike. (SRAM X9 or vintage Shimano XT) Have some fenders or fender parts, either full or clip-to-seatpost type.

For reference I normally ride a 56cm road frame. My saddle height is about 730mm.

I'm actually looking to sell the Long Bomber if you're interested. As a permanent replacement it might be up your alley. It's a mid-90s Specialized Expedition frame, steel, that I had powdercoated black and then had a local artist front of mine paint.

Triple crank, bar-end shifters, canti brakes, generator hub, drop bars, and comes with a pair of Woody's wood fenders. Schwalbe Marathon tires.

Naturally, I can't find a decent photo of it, but let me know if you're interested, and we can work out a deal. I'm thinking $500-ish to sell it.

WTB inexpensive set of 650b rim brake rims for an around town bike. Anybody out there with a failed conversion project or just a set of rims that aren't fancy enough for them anymore?

Very soon I am disassembling the wheelset of my Rawland Stag and upgrading to double butted spokes and new tubless rims.
I will have a lightly used pair of Pacenti PL23 Version 2.0 (updated version so they don't develop cracks around the nipples) for sale.
Might not be for a month or so if you can wait.

Also, if you need some rims sooner I believe Ryan Wreyford may still have a set of 3x 650b rims he picked up from my house.

Never mind: Seeking two cheap 26" street tires. DM me if interested. Will pick up.

Turns out this pos burner bike I'm rehabbing takes 26 1 3/8 tires.

I don't think it exists anymore, if it ever did, but every CX season I go on a futile hunt to spend my way to being a better cyclist.

WTB: 26" carbon fork, rim brake, 1 1/8" steerer, NOT suspension corrected.

https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/forks/45-26-thorn-full-carbon-fork/?geoc=US

385mm A-C, available in both 50 and 60mm offsets! But the canti studs on teh backside of the blades means you need to use some sort of linear pull brake, not cantis.

Ah. Just out of curiosity have you already ruled out a custom lightweight steel or aluminum fork?

Hey, any of you nerds have a dynohub collecting dust in your parts bin? Looking for, ideally, a Shutter Precision 32-hole rim brake silver, but will entertain other options except not Shimano.

Thanks!

anyone got a decent condition shimano 10-speed RD they could part with?

Not too picky but I'm looking for 105 or better, medium cage. Silver would be dope but whatever works.

(32T rear cog, need at least 36t capacity)

any word on that rd? i've gotta pull the trigger on something soon, current rd is slopfest.

tangentially: i have a rd-5600 currently mounted (10sp), but the cage clearly says Mega 9 on it. I'm guessing the cage was just swapped out at some point in the derrs life... probably to go from short to medium. does that sound right?

what do you do when you have two stalled big projects and no time to work on either? start another, natch.

building up a go fast bike. Going to need a lot of parts, i'm in no hurry, need to keep a close eye on price though. Looking for roughly ultegra level stuff, depending on year and specific part.

deep blue, yellow, natural ano aluminum and black are the colors i'm trying to stick to, fwiw. i'm a-o-k with a little beausage.

-decent racey 700 wheelset, alu brake tracks, 10sp freehub, qr, 100/130mm, clinchers
-some 10speed shimano gruppo bits... brifters, RD, dual pivot brakes.
-...maybe FD also
-1" threadless stem... I need to sort out the fit here before I dive into details, but if you have a nice 1" threadless stem somewhere around 100mm, let me know. a black/yellow sesamo is the cream dream.
-no 4 zefal hpx frame pump

anyone got anything?

I've got a SRAM Force 31.8 clamp front derailleur. It'll work with shimano stuff, and I bet it'll be cheaper than buying an ultegra FD. Plus, it's NIB. Seriously. $35?

I've got some yellow Velocity Razors, 32h alu box rim with machined sidewall, laced with silver Sapim Race spokes, brass nips, to some silver White Industries H2/H3 hubs.

$200

See also: I've got a well used 110(?) Alter, silver w\ black plate, sitting around once you decide on a stem length.

very interested in wheelset (shimano splines, yeah?), possibly Alter (1"?) as well. I'm in crunch mode until Monday night but let's talk next week. planning on riding thursday?
