I switched a bike to 1x and my bouncy chain is getting annoying.

Alllll your 48 spoke 135mm OLD hubs. For fucks sake, where did they all disappear to? There used to be a dozen different choices for them. I look away for a few years and you can't find one for love nor blowjobs.
Anyone have some DH hubs they never built into anything they want to give up?

I'm looking for aluminum fenders that are 52mm or wider. I don't care about wheel diameter (I'm going to reshape them anyway) or any of the hardware including stays.
It's for a project bike with funny wheel sizes.

WTB disc brake setup; levers & calipers. I want to convert my wife's Stumpjumper away from rim brakes. Doesn't need to be fancy, would probably prefer wired over hydraulic.

Interested in 26†wheelset? Ive got one built on old shimano touring hubs. Need to pull them off my commuter mtb. In pretty good condition as they were a fredly touring setup that went unused before being acquired. Can provide more deets when Im back home this weekend.

If this is for your Cycletruck I discovered that Planet Bike sells its 60mm wide ALX black aluminum fenders individually for different wheel sizes to cater to the recumbent market. I purchased a single 20" x 60mm for the front and (after talking to sales rep) got Planet Bike to sell me a 650b x 60mm rear using the discount code “ONEFENDER†since they sold singles for every size except the 650b / 27.5.
They don't seem like they would re-shape very well but I've been happy with the coverage on the 20" front even though they are comparatively short.
Shown here with 50mm tire prior to ebike conversion.

get a tiny kids bike and take off the cranks. tiny kids bikes are basically free
best part, they can have cranks later if they love the bike

roll by bikeworks, their warehouse has a bunch of "as-is" bikes that will cost you ~$20 and a minor repair.

Thanks Andrew. I'll probably give those a shot. I'm somewhat tempted to get some Tanaka or VO cheap aluminum silver fenders in 26" x 60mm and seeing if I can reshape the front one to fit a 20" wheel.

Looking for a buncha stuff to finish up some projects bc cross might be coming, among other things. Here's my shopping list, lemme know if you've got stuff!
-CX rim brake wheelset - looking to capitalize on your move to disc and get somethin nice-ish while I ride out this whole "disc brake" fad for another decade (jk they're great but I don't have to explain myself here).
Looking for: modern, tubeless-compatible, 10s hub, probably 28h. Prefer 130mm rear spacing.
-CX compact double crankset+bb - 172.5/175 length, 46/34T or 46/36T gearing is prob good if you've got rings in good shape. also nice-ish.
-26.0 shallow drop bars (soma hwy one/similar, silver, ~44cm width)
-Swept-back bars - don't need the super deep cruiser sweep but maybe something like the wald touring bar, soma sparrow, etc. For a MTB commuter conversion, btw. Prefer silver and 26.0.
-1" threaded headset (silver, not junk)
-1-1/8" King headset crown race only
-1-1/4" threaded fork, rigid, 26in wheels, canti posts, cheap for a beater (long shot, long story)

I think amanda has these bars for you, I will check (but headed out for a few days so give me a week or so). i think they're sparrows. i think they possibly came from rza originally (?).

I just did this, conventional wisdom is don't but if you have those plastic vertebrae bits that encase the housing, it seems ok w very little compression on the housing. Fwiw used ritchey grips. I believe channeled grips exist

2020 has Oury grips and the better, cheaper, less sticky ones, too, under which I have run cables for barcons.
The grips from 20/20 also DON'T turn into a tacky, chewing gum like material from too much UV exposure like oury's. Also 20/20 is a great shop.

They're much nicer than you'd think, and in this application you can chop the rear to go on the front. If you have more room in your fork, there's an even bigger Balloon model too.

WTB a bike, ~54ish, that does the things we do (commute + camp ready). Nothing too fancy, just a good basic reliable guy.
It's for a good dude, spends all his time working on HIV transmission in Africa, if that tugs at your heartstrings at all.
edit: to clarify, he is against HIV transmission.

Looking for an old shot GXP bb. All I need is the NDS dust seal.
This is the bit (the star fangled seal):
----edit---
fwiw, got a set of pressfit gxp replacement seals ("shield" sram calls em) and wave washer. Worked out for me: pressfit NDS shield works with threaded GXP, DS shield does not (and no need for wave washer). posting this because there's not a ton of good gxp info out there.

Looking for either a frame or full bike, sized about 52-54CM. Trying to keep a full-build budget to around $500 or less, ideally.

Heya, I'm looking for a black set of fenders to fit 650x47. Cheap plastic totally good.
Also, a front rack similar to the Velo Orange Randonneur (for disc, not canti....)

WTB or WTT(ry) some Power Grips. Anyone have an unused pair lying around?
Alternatively, does anyone have a suggestion of what to look for in a toe basket? Generally trying to not upgrade my footwear at this time.
Also, WTB (or starting the hunt) for a front rack. Looking for the ability to carry too much and eventually go full rando bag.
Lastly, suggestions of where to get rack brazons added to a fork, currently pricing R+E and CycleFab.

Foot retention should either be clipless shoes/pedals or a nice platform with pins and a flat surface to support your flexible shoe sole.
Toe baskets / cages / power grips only existed because old platform pedals sucked so much.
I currently have https://www.amazon.com/Black-Ops-BMX-Platform-Pedals/dp/B00PYX9I24 and am happy with them. Figure that I'd give straps or something a try to see if there were any improvement. Turns out UW does bike fits and checking on price to see if I'll go forward to it, but want to decide if I want any addition before doing that.

Fits? Straps? Just snug em. This is easy.
Am I missing something?

well that's a baffling way to ask "should I get a bike fit?" also, wrong thread.
anyways, some things to consider:
1. don't you ride a comically small bridgestone? getting an appropriately sized bike frame comes way before getting a professional fitting done, and likely costs less.
2. you probably don't need a bike fit unless you really need a bike fit (e.g. bad knee/back/whatever pain). if you do need a bike fit, you should go somewhere that staffs people who know what their doing, and the UW bike shop is not that place.
3. an open secret about bike fits is that the people who do bike fits don't agree on how a bike should fit. that's not to say it doesn't help some people sometimes (moira had good luck with hers iirc).
I still don't really get what the amazon pedals have to do with anything. For clipless, cleat position is part of fit, but for plats n straps there's no fitting to be done.

I plan on getting a bike fit, wasn't asking about it here.

This is for the new KM, which appears to be the correct size.

Not from the bike shop, through the stadium sports medicine clinic. It's billed as preemptive physical therapy.

Yeah, definitely have heard mixed opinions and would hesitate a lot more if it weren't free (or nearly). Would prefer getting fit on one of those machines that can change while you're peddling, but not complaining with the price.

The question here was regarding straps or toe baskets, specifically locating a set to try instead of buying new. I expect them to be somewhat useless and not to change anything until I make the full swap to clipless [see: I'm a cheapskate].
