WTB:

53 or 54cm size Triathlon bike.

Complete or mostly so.

This is for my sister, so I'd be purchasing/fixing/swapping parts then boxing and shipping it to her. Budget is $1000 absolute max, but in the $600 neighborhood would be much better.

If you have any leads on a local bike tha tfits this description (not already on CL) please send them my way, thanks.

Used batteries are generally a waste of money. Batteries, even rechargeable, have a finite shelf life and can only be recharged so many times.

good advice thanks, amazon has the whole setup for 40$ might just go that route instead of trying to match the light with a used battery

If you've still got the old one, NiteRider's customer service is pretty great, FWIW. They replaced a worn-out battery in my minewt 250 for the cost of s+h + $20 and made some improvements too (fixed the charging port and gave me a new mount) for free. I wasn't the original owner either. The internals of the lights are all under various warranties regardless. I believe you can read the fine print about it on their site. Might be worth a call to them either way - good luck!

Looking for loooooooOOOOOOOOooooooong-reach caliper brakes, dual pivot, something along the lines of a Tektro R559. Need around 70mm of glorious reach.

Possibly a.... long shot.

...but it would be cool if you have some longbraks you're willing to part with.

Anyone got a light zippy race-ish bike for sale, 55-57 cm give or take?

It's been a few years since I've had a bike faster than the LHT and I think it's time to, well, have that again.

And there's a race happening tomorrow that I'd kinda like to do, but the main ride is in the shop, and I don't feel like racing on that clunky (though purty) Univega I’m borrowing.

Not for sale but I have a single speed that fits that description if you want to ride it tomorrow. 36x13 ratio so about 73 gear inches. It's a 55cm and fits me perfect (I'm 6ft). Shoot me a text if you want to grab it today.

talk to Kat Reinhart on FB, she's selling a nice race bike that should be close enough to your size.

Dada, thanks very much, but single speeds don't work so well for me… I'm an old man with old knees. :-P
But if someone else in Capitol Hill / CD area has a geared bike in this size they feel like loaning me for a day that'd be pretty cool.

Langston, I hadn't seen that, thanks! I'll contact her.

if no one has one lying around, check out the mower shop up by Duck Island/Greenlake and or your local pawnshop.

Washington State Gazetteer Map. I know I can buy a new one easily, but figured I'd see if anybody doesn't use theirs.

erm.. in what axle type? Regular quick-release wheels should be 100mm OLD. 110 is some sort of through axle.

Also rim or disc brake?

I might have what you need, depending.

I'm looking for a 24 spoke rim in 700c, not picky. I was gifted a 24 hole hub and happen to need a front wheel for my bike.

i'm not sure it's worth your effort building up a 24 spoke bike. that might be too light duty of a wheel for you

from one big daddy to another, go for the 36.

I was about to post a WTB used Shimano front hub when a friend sent me this: http://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/shimano-hub-dynamo-dh3n31-32-h-black-480456/wg_id-8865

About to buy in next 24 hours. If you want in on the order holler at me. For 17 euro I might buy two and rattlecan one purple.

Dunno yet. But grouping it will save euros. Holler if you want anything else. Good deals on B&M lights.

Shipping for that website is €19.95 per order. I bought a big pile of dynamos and lights and it didn't increase.

I'm looking for flatbar SRAM 2x10 shifters. I'm not that picky about road (doubletap) or mountain bike (double trigger) versions. I need clamps since the brake levers won't be SRAM.

WTB all your janky old bike camping stuff. A frame bag (for a 58) would be fantastic. Some sort of rack? I don't know how this stuff works. A bright battery powered headlight? A tent? A sleeping bag?

You don't need any of that. Just get a pool noodle and you'll be fine.
