I bought a C-Lark at the end of last summer. She needs a little love before I would consider her sea-worthy. Definitely needs at least one of the side stays replaced.
I am a skilled bike mechanic, but have not touched a boat since my high school days in South Carolina. I'm looking for resources (people & shops that won't a$$-rape me) for minor to medium repair & maintenance on this old fiberglass boat. Perhaps some one who has a swaging tool that would stop by for a few beers? I would also consider buying that tool and having it available in the P83 library if other folks eventually need to put some cable ends on.

I have the smaller size "swage it" tool that is probably big enough to do the job. I can also teach you the knots for doing it with amsteel. I'd trade either for a little sailing time in the c-lark.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I didn't get back sooner but I'm battling the plague since Thursday. When I feel better maybe we could meet for a beer. I calipered the cables and they are a weird measurement (like 2.5 mm or equivalent) Maybe I need to find a guage chart.
I'll ping you when I am feeling better.
