PWC is an awesome group, thanks Aaron. And those Praxis lectures are really well put together.
Alot of these groups should be working together! But they aren't. It isn't for lack of interest, it's mostly a lack of time and resources.
I am currently serving as a board member for the Seattle chapter of Surfrider Foundation, , a national organization dedicated to protecting not only the beaches and waves but making a consious effort to better the watersheds of our costal regions.
I volunteered to help link some of these groups and communities together, and have suggested more than one symbiotic relationship with other concerned and avid volunteer groups.
The point is it doesn't take alot of a person's time to do this sort of thing and bring a few groups together.
And it doesn't take alot of time to be concerned. Getting educated is the important part. You can't help but want to be a part once you've learned something about it.
Anyway, thats my two cents.
