Meet at Uwajimaya at 9, depart at 9:30.
Yeah it really early. I don't like it either but it gets dark super early now and I want play time in the forest while it is light.
If you stay in the yurt it will be $10, that you give to me.
Tell me if you're officially in or not
I want an idea of numbers. Feel free to edit your "I'm interested" post.
Yurts take 5 people each so we have a total of 10 beds. I don't want to push that too much as I like the state parks dept and don't want to piss them off, plus they are pretty small. Two double beds and a single on the top bunk. Non-partnered girls get first choice of the top bunks if they want.
Route is Green River Trail, then Cedar River Trail. 40 miles. Get lunch here. It doesn't look fantastic but it is at the halfway point and they have food and beer. http://www.yelp.com/biz/apogee-pub-and-eatery-renton. Will have a grocery stop at Maple Valley Safeway about 12 miles from camp.

all other camping spaces are first come first served. Dude on reservation line said he didn't think finding spots would be a problem. There are plenty near the yurts.
What's bike yurting? Like bike camping minus individual tents and replace with a heated yurt. Might be a way to keep the camping going later into the season.

Kanaskat-Palmer State Park is in a forest setting in the Green River Gorge. It is 40-50 miles away depending on the route. I have never been but LOOK AT THE PRETTY PICS
It is also only 15 miles away from FLAMING GEYSER STATE PARK for side explorations. With this pretty waterfall and two methane geyers.
Ben says "The river is a pretty rad gorge. That route is pretty good, mostly bike path and no hills."
Someone else wrote a blog about biking there from Issaquah.
