So last night I got a flat on my rear rim.
It's a very deep v rim, so it needs the long presta valve stem.
I finally got out of bed around 6:30.
I changed the front tube to the rear... however, in that change, i managed to cause a leak in it. So i walk to the bike shop, and it's closed.
eff. So i had to throw my single gear rim on and ride that.
oh man. I am converted the fixie all the way.
While riding down morrison to work tonight, a car came up next to me and this girl was all, "nice bike", then they drove off. I caught up to them at a stop light, and while i was riding and they were driving, we discussed bikes. haha. she shared my pain of having to switch back from a fixie to single. it's just no tthe same. though, they seemed impressed that i was pushing 30mph on single spinning like mad because the gear ratio sucks.

Now I need to hit up a shop tomorrow after i get off work and pick up multiple new tubes.

oh, and I'm pretty much drunk at work again.

I just go out to the bar w/ friends prior to work.
Puts me in a great mood for going to work. 2 hours later I'm sober. 5 hours, i'm super tired. but it's worth it.

I get a leak on my front tire! so my front tire is basically flat. it has a little air in it, but still.

that's why I buy extra tubes and keep them with me all the time...and I know what you mean with the fixed gear thing...when I ride a geared bike I always forget to brake with my hands instead of my legs...then I end up crashing.

I need to buy a hand pump so I can just carry extra tubes.
This wouldn't have been a problem if I would have remembered to buy tubes while I was at the bike shop the other night.
Oh well.
Funny.
I have no tubes or hand pump, but I have a tire pulls and the correct size wrench to unbolt my rims. hah.

well derrick suggested this really great pump called Topeak Road Morph...they run from$30-$40 but are really cool because they morph into a mini floor pump and it also have a gauge...it has an attachment so you can strap it onto your frame but I just keep mine in my bag since I think pumps on frames look ugly. besides that I just have a tube, a tire lever, a 15mm wrench all in my bag.
