It's up against the bike lane on West Marginal Way, just south of Atlantic (by the Stadium).
Those nasty puddles to the right ARE the bike path there.

if only they had some sort of way to contact them for more information... like, say, a phone number or something. MAN that would have made your life simpler. if ONLY.

I voted no, based on my firm belief that the only way to get people to consume less fuel, is to raise the price of fuel. Only then will the masses look for alternatives to single occupant motor vehicles.

If gas prices doubled again, we would see even more people on bikes, and making other sensible choices like living closer to work.

None of the money is going to be spent making life better for cyclists. It is all about building roads. Look who is against it. Road builders!

The money from the tax increase is earmarked almost entirely for road safety and efficiency improvements around the state. In fact, most of I-912's supporters state that one of their biggest issues with the tax is that it really isn't going to build more roads or reduce traffic, when they feel the state would be better off spending the money on increasing road capacity.

At first I thought it would be kind of fun living in a city with crumbling and impassable roads. Means there'd be a lot more bikes out there! But the truth is that it's going to hurt our friends and the city. Firstly, these are largely road SAFETY concerns that the tax will address. This isn't making more space for H2's 's to fill, this money is about making it a safer place for your mom to drive to the doctors office. Also, if major structures like the viaduct or 520 where lost in a disaster, the city would be proper fucked. Commute times would become completely unmanageable overnight for a million people. Sure we'd like to thing they'd all just hop on a bike, but that's not how it would work. The economic loss in the city would be devastation, people moving away, etc. It just would just be one depressing city to living in.

I guess it's pretty irrelevant now. Voting was yesterday. Nevermind.

since i'm not a US citizen i wasn't eligible to vote yesterday. if voting yes would have increased the likelihood of a new 520 bridge with a fucking bike lane already, i would have voted yes in a heartbeat.
