Damn near endo'd on the BG Monday night.
Riding along happily, then looked up and saw one of those freaking wood barriers coming at me.
I think the sequence of evasive maneuvers went something like this:
1) simultaneously slam on brakes and start emergency turn
2) lock up front wheel hard enough to make the back end come off the ground
3) Kick back wheel around a bit. Since I had started to change direction, this made the turn a little faster.
I do know when I hit the brakes, I clamped down on the front ones hard enough to screw up the toe-in.
I don't even want to think about the damage going over that barrier would have done to my sweet new front wheel.
