Ride Sunday Morning 11/27 Anything and everything .83 Seattle

I would like to invite you all to come ride your bikes with me tomorrow morning, Sunday the 27th.

We could meet in Gasworks park, 9AM-ish. Or, if more people from West Seattle would like to ride, we can meet closer to you-all.

When? Where? Where to? Cast your vote! Let's ride bikes!

Hey I'd be up for this too, but I also have to be back in West Seattle sometime b/w 11 and noon, so basically same as Aaron. Gonna meet up with family that's still in town from the holiday.

So if we could do like Aaron suggests, I'm in.

i'd love to ride tomorrow, but i haven't been riding on sundays because my work schedule has been STUPID the last few weeks. these 80-90 hour workweeks suck.

however, if you kids are doing mercer island, i could be convinced to meet you out on the island for a loop or something, as long as the meeting spot on the island would be easy for me to find. i don't know mercer very well at all.

If we met at Westlake and then rode to Mercer and around it would be 32 miles (27 + 6) or so for me. On a fixie I could do that in 2 hours or so easy. That would give me a half hour to spare for rest stops and flats, etc.

pirate party? Aarrghhh me heartys! I'm in for riding tomorrow, my friend Erik might join us as well, if he's in town. I left him a voicemail... so like 8:00?

In the past people have mentioned that riding around Mercer Island is semi-bogus because the police aggresively enforce a "you-have-to-put-a-foot-down-at-stop-signs" policy for bicyclists, and only one bike at a time can go thru the intersection. And I think they have a pretty good sized police force compared to the size/population of the island, and they aren't shy about ticketing for these kind of minor offenses. At least that's their reputation.

I don't have any better suggestions, but this is something to keep in mind about MI.

Anyway, if marathoners are running across the I-90 bridge will we even be able to ride on it?

sorry dudes, i totally overslept and missed this. i'm STILL having trouble shaking off this nasty virus thats been kicking my ass for a good solid 2 weeks now, and as such, sleep a lot more than i normally do.

No worries Scotty, Lee slept in too. Aaron, Andre, Stuart and I rocked the MI loop, then stopped for cookies at the bike tunnel on the way back, and Seth (bmx) showed up. He rode with us to the Bikestation for a tour and then to Zeitgeist coffee. Then we split up. I rode up the Myrtle Edwards trail, with a tailwind and a nice view, it was fun. There was an accident on the grating on the Ballard Bridge, I passed about 800 cars. I was the only one to get through :) hahaha.

Then I crashed... turning right from 15th onto 65th. From the smell of my glove and pants, there was heating oil on the road. I was going slow, and my rear tire just washed out. Oh well, I need to find some baby blue bar tape anyway.

The leaders we saw run by us were already coming back across the I-90 bridge when we got to mid-span. Fast guys.

I figured out why it crashed. I guess Windows Cluster Server isn't ready to run two monorails at once:
