I did this last year, it was a fun time and I won some barmitts.

It sort of reminds me of the chilly hilly in terms of being chilly and hilly and having people on all sorts of bikes at many ability levels.

It has some fun private land sections that are not normally open to the public for biking, but is otherwise the thrilla route.

Cyclocross micro-knobby tires or something with moderately fatty slicks is plenty bike-wise, and whatever you ride you'll want some hill-climbing gears and decent brakes.
