We need to put off the tree fire. Those houses on the bluff call the cops on us every year. This year they'll have the burn ban on their side, and we'll actually get in trouble.
I'm sorry. I know this sucks. Fire in a week?
As per Andre's suggestion, Let's do the waffle ride tomorrow.
THIS IS STILL A GREAT NOOB RIDE.
YOU CAN STILL DRIVE TO THIS.
Logistics (shockingly similar to last year):
I'll be bringing the waffle irons and the non-vegan I-love-gluten waffle mix.
My lovely associate will be bringing vast quantities of liquid refreshment.
Others are encourged to bring waffle toppings and accessories.
I'll be using all the electricity!
Don't eat the whole cookie, or too much of the peanut putter!
Disaster!

One of my favorite rides.
I have a place on cap hill to stash trees. Shout out.
I need to borrow a trailer. If someone can provide, I'd be grateful.

my house still has a christmas tree from last year.
I have a truck and am planning on hauling trees there. Wasn't there a super secret hiding spot last year?

I have an all-day staff meeting the next day. So the good news is I'll be in town for this, but the bad news is I'll be in town for this.

Oh, I'll be attending this ride, for sure. It's my one year rideaversary. Or ride-adversary. Or something.

I've stolen a few trees from the park by my house (the one on Lake Washington Blvd.). They aren't "christmas" trees per se, and they were still attached to the ground, but if anyone still needs a tree and has a saw, there are still a few more there.
They look like this:

I once box lashed a 5' long 4X4 across the top of the rear rack, then rode ~5 miles, never stood up though. super tight, no jostling, worked fine, starting with a looped end, steps 4 & 5,
http://makeprojects.com/Project/The-Los . hing/955/1. I'd clove hitch the end then knot that with something else.

Joby's lending me a trailer so I'm set.

apparently my street isn't big on throwing out trees.
If anyone has a hot tip about trees tomorrow evening, text me at the robot unfriendly number below. Don't think I'll be able to grab Joe's tree stash before tomorrow am.
