I rode out to Yakima 2x this summer and it was excellent (overnight gravel century 4teh#winning! ) I plan on doing it again this year multiple times. When I get south of ellensburg I trade my bike in for a boat and hit the river though. Somuchfuckingfun. I know of a FREE riverside campsite that can accommodate a large group about 14mi south of ellensburg.

I've floated the canyon on a hot Yakima day, it is quite awesome.

There's a link to the Spokane club on the St. Louis website, so they must know each other. Maybe it's like us and Chicago?
