Scouted today, it's all good.
See that little kicker over yonder? Coming down it on the way in I maxed out my freshly-cleared speedometer again, and sustained well over 40mph for a solid mile of tidal flats at the bottom. Got chugging similarly at 40+ in several other places too, and spent some serious quality time at 35mph. Max speed on the dirt descent was 32mph.
32mm slick tires recommended but if you can pick a line and maybe walk one very short section you could do fine on 25-28s. Just like a Thursday ride.
Except for part of the gravel climb and the (very optional) kicker on the return, it was all big ring climbing for me, meaning mortals shouldn't have trouble running out of gears or anything. The route doesn't have nearly the magnitude of trouble of the last two iterations. Still don't bring a two-wheeled trailer.
The last stop is 5 miles and 700ft of climbing from the finish, a small convenience store with decent selection of food + beer at decent prices, and a liquor store next door.
If y'all can refrain from whipping your sister with your seatbelt you won't be made to take this shortcut over a hill:
don't you make your father pull over and come back there
