I did this ride today. Rode Fred's Pipeline route there, and Fred's road route back. Woodinville-Duvall across the river floodplain is a little unnerving, as every dinky bridge has no shoulder, and there are a lot of them. And it's busy all the way, including the hill climb and missing some shoulders on the downhill, but Old Woodinville-Duvall is good, as is the rest of the route (although near Woodinville drivers start acting sketchy; I'd try to avoid this near sunset, as I wouldn't want to add 'the sun was in my eyes' to the mix.
If you want to get back to the pipeline heading west without an absolutely insane hill climb, I suggest the Woodinville-Duvall route, heading south to pick the Pipeline Trall up at 232nd NE. This is super-easy to follow; just look for the brown signs that say "Equestrian Park". Route map here:
