Interesting finds today!
The Basic Bike was a town/"hybrid" bike Bridgestone did for year or so around '93. Essentially a budget Bridgestone MB frame setup as we'd recognize a Hybrid.
I believe this a Bianchi Project 3, an early 90s 700C frame designed for flat bars. Sold as a mid to upper range hybrid or commuter. Came with ~40mm tires, so plenty of room. This looks like a better of a project 3. Has 3x7 drive train, should be easy to go to 9sp in the rear.
50CM frame road bike with 26" wheels (!!!) and Shimano Dura Ace/600 components. Would guess late 80s based on components. One of you short people should snatch this up.
Raleighs bizarro 650B "mountain touring" bike from the 80s. I have *no idea* what they were thinking when they made these, but I wish I had one. These have been going for $700-1000 in good condition on ebay. This one needs some work at $300. Heres a .
Not a steal, but reasonable price for a good commuter/sunday ride/light touring bike thats fully equipped. As I recall 2009 was a Reynolds 531 tubeset.
Are you a bearded fred who loves lacquer, beeswax, and wool? Do you have a nice chunk of cash looking for a new home? Check out this reasonably priced steel frame brazed by the Nipponese craftsmen of Toyo. Join the RivDorks of .83 and ride sensibly in your wool outfit!
