inner tubes - should i go a little big or a little small?
I've got a 20x1.5 tire. Would I be better off getting a 20 x 1.25-1.5 inner tube or a 20 x 1.5-1.75 inner tube?
Tokyo Disneyland folding bike riders feel free to chime in with what sizes you're rocking, I'm all for maximum spare part compatibility. I've that 20x1.5-1.75s will fit a 24 x 1.4-1.75.
On another bike I've been rolling with a 700x20-25 tube (long stem presta - damn deep Vs) on a 28 with no ill effects so my wild guess is go with the 1.25-1.5. Better to have stretched rubber than a jammed in , but what do I know? On the other hand, 20s seem to go up to 2.3 wide so maybe the larger tube would be handy if the tire goes to hell and I need to slap on a new, more readily available(?), wider one.
The tires are Schwalbe Marathon Racers for what it's worth.
