I biked in this area around Octoberish 2007,
As for your route, I'll summarize my diagnosis.
1. The Ka$kade route said they'll go on the green river trail, not the interurban
2. Out of personal preference, instead of biking through Milton I'd prefer riding .
3. Just like on Milx's map, you'll probably ride on Vassault instead of Pearl near Point Defiance
4. Once you get past Ollala, you should take instead. It is way less hilly, it isn't a straight and boring road, and there are beautiful forests along the way. The route between Gig Harbor and Southworth is better done in reverse I think, because then you can do the where I hold my top speed record of 45mph.
I oughta organize a speed trial for the Sedgwick Bomb. The pavement is soo smooth, it's hella steep, there is a lots of room to slow down at the end, and there is absolutely no traffic.
