Don't give up on the hipster dream; you should get a more practical fixie. Have you checked out any frames with a more relaxed geometry? I just saw this fixie on The List:

If I read your bike tale correctly, it looks like the above would fit your lifestyle a bit better than your current Fetish frame. Looks like Kass is selling it.
