Because I'm too lazy to start another thread:

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a non-commuter urban headlight. This is for the Xtracycle. Basically I would like an enhanced see-me light since I'll be carrying the kids a lot more with me. I'll still be running one of the old Cateye five LED headlights as blinker in addition.

And I'm not up to setting up a dyno setup for the Xtracycle.

So - based on your requirements I think a bike light is the wrong way to go. They are all designed to be easy on-off. The MiNewt just isn't a good shape to lock down.

This one is a standard flashlight design, but with 120Lumens so it would be comparable to the MiNewt. Then it's a matter of the best way to lock it down. Using 2 host clamps interlocked (one for the bar, one for the light) would work, but this looks pretty good too:

So sell mcrawfor your MiNewt, and get creative.
