If good cycling technique is poetry in motion, mine's a dirty limerick.

make a ghetto cross bike from an old mountain bike. Fun, and cheap, and it makes a much better commuter when you're done.

I've raced on a f'n mtb and on a touring bike, and I much preferred the touring bike. Much easier to shoulder and do runups, and I much prefer commuting on road bikes as well. So the scope of what I'm interested in really is limited to bikes built on a road frame.
Thanks, though.

i have a carbon fiber cyclocross fork that i need to sell.
1 1/8
canti studs
disc tabs
cut to fit a 58cm frame, so will fit something shorter very easily.
star nut installed
i had maybe 50 miles on it. had it installed on my jake for a while, then did some touring and had to switch it out for front rackable steel fork. never put it back on.
only one slight chip in the paint near the top where i was pulling off the crown race, tiny.
75 bucks or so if you want it. i paid 125 new. just selling because im never going to use it, im too fucking big for carbon fiber to be realistic.

man,
if you had made this thread about a month ago, i would've had the perfect frame for you,
54cm aluminum pinarello cross frame.
sadly, it's gone now.
wat.
