Are hubs drilled for disc brakes wider to make room for the disc mount? Or is the dish on a hub like that simply more shallow to make room for the brake mount? Or is there some magic in there that allows it to be exactly the same width with the same dish?
It's dumb, but I'm looking for a black rear hub for my Raleigh since mine's hosed (shitty aluminum - splines are gouged through). For some reason I'm finding black hubs drilled for discs cheaper than finding them without. I've never dealt with disc brakes so have no idea.

It's a newer Raleigh (2005). I'm assuming what's on there is a 130mm but haven't taken calipers to it.
<strike>A 5 second Google hunt isn't yielding width on the above but I guess I was assuming this was going to be a standard 130mm.</strike>
Edit: yeah this is a 135mm hub.
It would appear that disc hubs are typically a little wider @135mm. Figured it was something like that.
Back to my hunt I guess.

If good cycling technique is poetry in motion, mine's a dirty limerick.

It's an unbranded generic hub. Rims are Alex Rims AT400.
Didn't know you can replace the freehub body, but I guess that makes sense. I think a new wheel needs building anyhow - I keep blowing spokes on it. Like, a couple at a time. That bike isn't the most burly of bikes to begin with, and it fit's me in such a way I can (and do) deliver a lot of torque. I'm sure more shit is bound to break on it.
Will probably use the opportunity to ask Ro or Nygaard to teach me how to build a wheel.
EDIT: Yeah found a hub at Recycle for $5 that'll work fine.
