i stopped to help a couple 'ladies' fix a flat on the trail. they had a pump, to which i quickly replied, 'i have one, you can put that away.'
i flipped the rubber adapter over for schrader valves but got nowhere. it didn't seem to have anything pushing the pin in to allow air to move into the tube.
anyone else have this issue? [/img]

to switch from presta to schrader and vice versa
there's the rubber gasket that you have to turn around
and BEHIND that is a plastic piece that you have to turn around to press in the valve
so to be absolutely exhaustive and clear
pull out rubber piece
pull out plastic piece deeper in the nozzle body
turn plastic piece around and put it back in
turn rubber piece around and put it back in
i figured this out on the street the other day i stopped to help a young hippie couple with a flat on their tandem in front of an ethiopian grocery
