I have a pair of the Lightweight Shins I bought two years and have beaten the snot out of ever since. They're basically the only thing I wear in the summer and to wash them I just take a shower wearing them commando. They've held up great and I paid about $130 for them at Counterbalance.

Thanks for the heads up, these were on the Christmas list but may have to move up.
Did they dump the mid or heavier weight ones? I tried them on in person at Recycled Cycles and they didn't seem light, but that was ok for me for winter.

you guys noticed their is also on sale for $99 right?
I picked one up when the chrome van was visiting recycled cycles, it's awesome! *full zip* (damn you, swobo), the back pocket is hidden, very long, and if unzipped on both sides becomes a nice conduit for cool air. haven't figured out what to put in the little wrist zipper thing but it's neat anyway.
sizing is a little weird, usually i'm a medium but the small fit just right.

They may be all out by now, but a few weeks ago Second Ascent had some phenomenal deals on Ibex wool tops, like $40 for the top I paid $90 for. I have something similar to their current Zepher Sport, and it's been my primary cold weather top for a year and a half now. Warm enough down to the high thirties when riding and fitted enough that it's easy to throw on another wool or shell layer over it.
Also, some random drunk girl in Hattie's once told me that Ibex will replace a worn out piece of clothing for free.
